"Small Businesses: Driving America's Economy"

Every year since 1963, the President of the United States has proclaimed National Small Business Week to recognize the contributions of small businesses to the economic well-being of America. As part of National Small Business Week, the SBA recognizes this special impact made by outstanding entrepreneurs and small business owners.

 

In yet another strong showing, the Santa Ana District produced three district, four regional, one Small Business Person of the Year finalist and two state winners, including the California Small Business Person of the Year.

Financial Services Champion of the Year
Richard I. Ganulin, Pacific Enterprise Bank
 
Women In Business Champion of the Year
Lisa Marie Platske, Upside Thinking, Inc.
 
Women's Business Center of Excellence Award
 
State and regional winners will now compete for national honors in Washington, D.C.  Region IX includes Nevada, Arizona, Hawaii, Guam and California.
